Deviations Project is a British electronic music duo comprised of producer Dave Williams and international violin sensation Oliver Lewis. Dave and Oliver have recreated some of the world’s most revered classical pieces, layering the warm, acoustic tones of the violin over lush, swirling, synthesized harmonies. Pieces such as Tchaikovsky’s ‘Swan Lake’, Bizet’s ‘Carmen’ and Bach’s 'Sonata in G Minor’ have been crafted with modern music technology, while 20th Century classics such as Mike Oldfield’s ‘Tubular Bells’ and Fleetwood Mac's ‘Albatross’ take on a truly classical feel under Oliver Lewis' magic touch .

Dave and Oliver first met at Wembley Arena in London during rehearsals for a special Millennium performance of ‘Spirit of the Dance’. Dave, who had composed and produced the music for the dance spectacular, was on hand to oversee the rehearsals when he was introduced to Oliver Lewis, the celebrated violin virtuoso who would be starring in that night’s performance. The two hit it off right away, and became fast friends. When Oli suggested that Dave should write some music for him, Dave's answer was an emphatic, "NO! - I can't write classical toons!" Thankfully, Oli persisted, and the result was the futuristic, energetic ‘Toccata in Fog’, proving that Dave could indeed write in a classical style, and that Oli's incredible talents had no limits. Dave wrote two more pieces to showcase Oliver's talent, the highly dramatic ‘Nuclear’, and the truly unforgettable ‘She Too’ which shows the softer side of Deviations Project .

Signed by US electronic label ‘Neurodisc’ in 2006, Deviations Project was born. The groups self-titled debut album was released in February 2007 to much critical acclaim. The buzz generated by the album prompted much interest from US mega booksellers Barnes and Noble, who added three Deviations Project tracks to their exclusive compilation CD, ‘Beauty’.

Deviations Project's second full length album, ‘Adeste Fiddles’ was released in November 2007. This collection of popular holiday music was given the Deviations treatment, putting a whole new spin on Christmas. Dave and Oli's version of Tchaikovsky's ‘Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy’ would not be out of place in a Tim Burton film , with its driving bass rhythm and big sonic beats. But when placed alongside the other wonderful Christmas pieces, the entire collection plays out beautifully.

The Deviations Project style continues to evolve in their lastest album, ‘Ivory Bow’. The duo deviate once again by adding some guitar to such classics as Offenbach's famed ‘Can Can’ and Greig's ‘Hall of the Mountain King’, creating another dimension to the DP sound. The sultry mix of Dave's guitar and Oli's virtuoso strings have created what could very well be the sexiest rendition of ‘Bolero’ to date!
