Dave Williams' musical gift was apparent from a very young age. Studying classical piano from the tender age of 4, Dave began to win awards at local music festivals, but by his own admission, the judges noticed his flair for performance just as much as his technical skills. His penchant for the dramatic eventually drew him away from the piano when he discovered his father’s guitar, and he turned to the dark side.

Williams began his rock and roll career with childhood friend and Queen bassist, John Deacon. The pair played together in several bands before John left Leicester to join Queen. Dave went on to attain a degree in Art and Design from the University of Loughborough, but truly, his heart belonged on the stage. He formed successful 70's rock band "The Ritz" (with sister Kate) who were signed to Polygram records for a number of years. When the long days of touring began to lose their appeal, he became a professional songwriter with Chappell/Warner music.

Dave, the "Scruffy Half" of Deviations Project, became the Music Director for the long running international smash hit Spirit of the Dance, which had four shows in the US and two international touring groups. Formed in 1996, Spirit of the Dance is a foot-stomping international production featuring a spectacular display of traditional Irish culture that has thrilled audiences all over the world.

Dave's musical wizardry continues to evolve with each Deviations Project album. In the upcoming "Ivory Bow", he has added guitar to a few tracks, bringing another dimension to the classics. He is currently writing for the fourth Deviations Project album, and is developing a number of upcoming stage productions. His passion for music is matched only by his passion for fancy foot ware, earning him the well deserved moniker "The Wizard of Magical Music and Shoes".
